Rmac's goin to Maui
It has been one heck of a journey,...as all of our lives are quite frankly. We all have various stories and yours and mine are uniquely challenging and our own. Since being back from New York the stock market has been an intense focus. Opportunity, work, work, work... hustle, find a deal,....do your part, and finally hope (or work) to do your best to earn your position and equity. Now comes the fun part (being sarcastic),...out comes yee old fangs, rip and tear, grab what's yours,...grab some more. Well,...hmmmm. Can we be nice, can we be kind, can we trust, respect and share? It would be so nice.
After jamming cortisol levels to extreme, losing weight, grinding, hustling, trying to stay one step ahead in the brisk gerbil wheel I finally took some time to look around, breathe, and wonder. -Why? What for?? Freedom,...I don't really need nor want anything. A recent movie by Sean Penn called Into the Wild; the lead character Chris says, "I don't really understand why everyone treats each other so bad." Well, as many of you know,...combine the works of Eckhart Tolle and a most famous book called 'Sperm Wars' and you'll have your answer.
It's been exhilerating,...but perhaps brain candy,...and perhaps just trying to get ahead and the feeling or elation of winning or building more pac man credits in ones bank account that feels good, and no doubt it does. Somewhere along the pendulum of the balance of life,...abundance is a good thing.
Ahhh, the experience was needed to reach Freedom (sigh, is this getting cheesy or is this real?). The despair of a boss unwilling to share, close friends willing to pounce, legal firms so quickly to charge, or shall I say gouge! Everyone ripping and tearing,...holding and hording. The swim up stream like salmon continues,...and prisoners taketh along the way,...ummm, no.
Will it be with a health company, or being a server at an Aphrodites Cafe,...to be determined. I think i've learned some lessons. Or,...do I ram on,...persevere,...get tough! Do I be a man!!? Well what is the description of a man, integrity, honor and guts,...without being a hippy or martyr?
Here's what a respected associate of mine wrote to me recently which makes perfectly good sense for one willing to stay in the mining finance world:
--
"Ryan, Not to be too cynical but the public market is all about "greed" and almost everyone who is in the market is focused on two things, money and themselves. Its an ugly reality but if you are going to be in this game you will have to build some tough skin. You will find that money gets between friends, colleagues and family in many cases and it is rare when I am impressed with people wanting to share and be fair when it comes to distribution of shares or money. Get use to it. "
In keeping with my granny applesauce's statement to me on one distant christmas or birthday card she wrote: Ryan, stay as nice as you are.
And from a wonderful movie called, 'A Clear and Present Danger,' Harrison Ford when offered a chance to sell out says, "I'm sorry Mr. President but I don't dance.'
Time to move on. A friend recently said a famous quote which coincidentally I just read or saw on a movie the other night: i'd rather die standing than live on my knees.
So the challenge begins to live a fuller live,...one where prudence is key, along with an ability to share, to give, and to help one another. Screw sperm wars, forget the fear, ignore the greed, come to terms and perhaps resist human nature.
Starting in Maui! December 17th - 21st,...and mmmmaybe longer. Hostel for 3 nights,...then the craig watson mansion program.
Aloha!
